Don’t use pipe lagging on your rollcage! Not only does it look rubbish, it is not fit for purpose, that being to protect your head in the event of an accident! The density of that type of foam is nowhere near high enough to absorb the impact of a crash helmet in the event of an accident. Both the half round shape and SFI safety standards resulted from lobbying and research and development initiated by BSCI. Okay, it won’t keep your pipes warm in the winter, but it will protect your head. We sell the standard BSCI roll bar padding in 3 different sizes. All sizes come in 36” lengths. The padding has a self adheshive backing, however it is reccomended to use a secondary attaching method around tight tube bends while the padding settles into it’s new shape, wide cable ties are a good option for this, thes can be removed later on. Also it is reccomended to fit the padding in warm conditions to ensure flexibility and compliance.
